Chapter Bus Excursion to Berkeley

March 7, 2026

9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Hop on the bus—we’re heading
to Berkeley for a textile-lover’s day out!
Our destinations include Stone Mountain & Daughter Fabrics and the Lacis Museum of Lace and Textiles.

Stone Mountain & Daughter Fabrics is a true Berkeley gem. Family-owned since 1981, this beloved shop offers an impressive array of high-quality garment and quilting fabrics, including a coveted selection of designer dead-stock yardage as well as notions and indie patterns. It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves beautiful textiles.

We’ll also visit the Lacis Museum of Lace and Textiles, a private museum and retail store devoted to preserving and sharing the art of lace making. During our visit, two exhibits will be on display: Normandy Lace and Bridal Faire. The shop manager, Erin Alegeo will guide us through the exhibits and share insights into this fascinating craft.

Quilt, Craft, and Sewing Cal Expo

aka Rusty Barn Show

March 12 - 14, 2026

We will host a booth again this year and need Booth-Sitter Volunteers for the event.  It’s a fun ‘job’, and just involves standing (or sitting) at the booth, with a fellow guild member, handing out fabric sale postcards to people as they pass by, and sharing your interest in sewing.

This is a lively event, showcasing lots of vendors, and the primary marketing forum for our annual fabric sale.  It’s also a great outreach for inviting new members to join our chapter.  Entrance is free for volunteers!
